The Vision of the Victory of our Children (cf Revelation 12:1-4)

Long gone are the days when there was minimal stress for parents related with nurturing of their children. In fact, young people looked forward to marriage as the apex of their growth and development. This forward-looking personal drive facilitated the cultivation of collective responsibility within the community. Additionally, the expectation to fulfill the obligation of collective responsibility was made possible by allocation of different roles to different individuals. Hence the seamless connection in communities.

However, the harmonious situation in communities has changed and an individualist attitude is at play. This has not only caused competition in families but also threatened the survival and thriving of children. Unfortunately, this kind of situation is not something new. The stories in the Scripture reveal some occasions where the lives of children were at risky. What we now know is despite the fact that some lost their lives, God’s plan was never stopped.

Based on the knowledge from past experiences, CALISCO believes in providing an enabling environment for children to emerge victorious from their current threats. Even if the threats are as severe as it was for the experience of the pregnant woman whose child was threatened by the dragon (cf. Revelation 12:1-4), there no need to fear. As CALISCO, we believe in God’s providence in difficult situations. Especially now, we want to take action of ensuring that both parents and children are empowered to overcome any fear caused by their current threats thus, empowering parents to be optimistic about realizing the vision they have for their children.
