You will know them by their fruits

The economic crisis that is affecting the world cannot be resolved by individual efforts. Yet we can leverage the potential of existing communities and ask how we can maximize productivity of these communities? There is truth in what Scripture teaches; “You will know them by their fruits. Are grapes gathered from thorns, or figs from thistles? In the same way, every good tree bears good fruit, but the bad tree bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit” (Matthew 7:16-18). This scriptural insight  shows that good produces good and vice versa is true. What can we say of our own families? Do we believe that they are capable of producing good fruits?

In spiritual life, believing is seeing. This means what we believe and this helps us see reality differently. In addition we believe that from the beginning of creation, human beings were given the ability to be fruitful and fill the earth (Genesis 1:28). This is an assurance that human beings are capable of producing goodness.
